Check the differential lid/differential housing pairing!

Lubricate the edge and put on the lid (2)

The inner threads must be free from residue of the screw locking device agent. All

screws (1) and threads must be degreased.

Bolting differential lid (2):



Tighten lid with 4 assembly bolts with

15 Nm

Sequence 1, 11, 6, 16

Check the basic locking action

Clamp tool no. 52 into the vice (Figure 2.9.19.11)

Put on tool no. 53

Check the locking action with drag torque wrench no. 59



Tighten 16 bolts with torque

15Nm+70°

(apply Loctite 262 on thread)

Sequence 2, 12, 7, 17, 3, 13, 8, 18, 4, 14, 9, 19, 5, 15, 10, 20



Remove assembly bolts



Tighten 4 bolts with torque

15Nm+70°

(apply Loctite 262 on thread)
