Place and Answer Calls

Manage Favorites

Local interface users can select Contacts from the menu to view favorites and the directory.

Web interface users can add favorites from the directory, create new favorite contacts, and create favorite 
groups. You perform the following tasks on the Place a Call > Manage Favorites screen.

To create a new Favorites contact:

To create a favorite contact not in the directory list, click Create New Favorite.

Enter the contact call information and click Save.

To create a Favorites group:

1

Click Create New Group.

Enter a Name for the group and click Save.

A success message is displayed.

To add contacts to the group, click Add Contacts on the success message.

Enter a contact name in the search box and click Search.

In the entry you want to add to the group, click Add.

Repeat the above steps to add more contacts to the group.

Click Done.

To edit a Favorites group:

Find the group name in the list of contacts.

Next to the group contact name, click Edit Group.

Do one of the following:

To add contacts to the group, click Add From Directory, enter a contact name, click Search, and 
then Add to add a contact.

To remove contacts from the group, select a contact name and click Remove.

Repeat the above steps to continue adding or removing contacts.

Click Done.

To delete a Favorites contact or group:

In the search box, type a contact name and click Search.

In the contact name you want to delete, click Delete.

Import and Export Favorites

The Import/Export Directory feature enables you to download Favorites from a RealPresence Group 
system to local devices, such as computers and tablets, in XML file format. It also allows you to upload 
Favorites from a device to a RealPresence Group system.

To access these features, you must be able to access a web browser on your device. Polycom 
recommends you use one of the following web browsers:
