5. Make sure that sleeve and insulation
ends are dry, clean and not greasy. If
necessary, dry, clean and remove all
grease at the distance of B+50+50 mm
(B – length of heat-shrinkable tape) and
polish with sand paper. Clean the rest
of the polyethylene particles.
6. With every casing pipe diameter D cut heat-shrinking tape with length L according to
the table:

At one end of the tape cut sloped
corners.
7. Using propane-butane flame, preheat
up to 60°C area that was previously
treated with sand paper.
8. Removing protective film from the
heat-shrinkable tape place cut side on
the sleeve end in a way that 40% from
tape width would be located on the
preinsulated pipe and 60% would be
on the sleeve.
