HEATING MAIN MONTAGE INSTRUCTIONS  CV4.04 

 

 

 

 
 
4.  Place  sleeve  above  the  connection  and 

symmetrically to PE pipe ends on to the 
tape. Remove sleeve protective film. 

 
 
 
 
5. Drill a hole in PE casing at the distance of 

Ø25 mm ~50 mm from end of insulation. 

 
 
 
6.  Drill  another  hole  in  PE  casing  (for  air 

release)  at  the  distance  of  Ø  3  mm  ~50 
mm from the other side of end insulation. 

 
 
 
 
 
 
7.  Wrap  around  the  pipe  and  sleeve  with 

heating insulated tape areas that are not 
supposed  to  be  heated  up.  With  weak 
yellow  part  of  the  flame  make  sure 
sleeve  sits  down  on  the  PE  casing.  At 
first  heat  up  equally  around  the 
circumference for about 1-2 minutes one 
sleeve end. Repeat the same procedure 
at the other end of the sleeve until PE is 
completely tight against PE pipe casing. 

 

 

 

 
Sleeve montage is performed well, if: 

- sleeve ends are densely attached to the 

PE pipe casing; 

- can’t see any air openings. 

 

 
 

8. Perform heat-shrinkable tape montage with accordance to connection montage Type 

1, steps 5 – 10. 

9. Perform sleeve filling with PUR foam component according to connection montage 

Type 1, step 11.
