HEATING MAIN MONTAGE INSTRUCTIONS CV4.04
Using PUR foam half casing (for example: at low surrounding temperatures) montage
sequence is following:
1. Perform steps 1-2 in above described Type 2.
2. Cut PUR casing up to the connection
length.
3. Process pipe casing ends with sand
paper and clean from dust for at least
150 mm into the casing. Insert casings
into the connection. It should fit tightly
between preinsulated pipe ends.
4. Heat up 150 mm of pipe casing using gas
torch up to the temperature of 60°C.
5. Cut coupling tape. Wrap tape around
PUR casings so that it is completely
covered.
6. Heat the tape so that it completely and
firm covers PUR casings.
7. Cut and place two duct tape pieces on
the coupling tape and pipe casing so that
coupling tape ends are completely
sealed. Push sleeve on the PUR casing
at the connection and remove protective
film.
8. With weak yellow part of the flame make
sure sleeve sits down tight on the tape.
First, heat one side of the sleeve from
middle to end. Repeat the same process
with the other side of the sleeve and then
alternating heating both sides until sleeve
is completely and tightly is stuck to the
tape.
Sleeve montage is performed well, if sleeve
ends are densely attached to the PE pipe
casing and no air openings can be seen.
Thin heat-shrinkable tape montages perform with accordance to description in connection
montage Type 1 steps 5-10.
