To view and edit the list of the channel plans, find «Channel plans» command in
«Analyzer» submenu. «Channel plans» window will open. The list of the channel plans is
read ut at each start of the program or each opening of «Channel plans» window. After
channel plan list editing by the Analyzer you will need to update the information on PC
using
«Plan list updating» command. You can access it via right-click menu in the
channel plan list, or by clicking button.
To save a channel plan into a file, use «Save plan in file» command. The standard
dialog box for file saving will open. Set the file name and its location. Click «OK» to
confirm saving.
To add a channel plan from a file, click «Open» . In the standard dialog box select a
previously saved plan file. Then click «OK» , and the opened file will be added to the list.
To add a new empty channel plan, click «Add plan» , or select the corresponding
command in the right-click menu in the channel plan list. The dialog for entering of the new
plan parameters will appear (figure 4.50).

Enter the name of the channel plan and select the free plan number in the drop-down
list. Then click «OK» , and the plan will be added.
To delete some channel plan, select its name in the list of plans and click «Delete
plan», or use the corresponding command in the right-click menu of the list.
To edit a plan name, select the name in the list of plans and click «Edit», or use the
corresponding command in the right-click menu of the list. «Channel plan parameters»
dialog will appear. Edit the name and click «OK». The number of the plan is not available
for editing. If you need to change the number of a plan, first delete this plan, and then add
the new one with the required number.
All the changes (adding, deleting, editing) to the list of plans are automatically saved
into the PC memory. To upload this information on to the Analyzer, select «Apply
changes» button. The changes will be saved automatically when you scroll to another line
of the list, or before the «Channel plans» window shuts down. To cancel saving of the last
changing, click «Cancel changes» .
A channel plan report represents a table containing the list of frequency points. The
table contains the following fields:
a) N - index number;
b) Type - modulation type of the channel (analog or digital);
c) Channel - index number of the channel containing the frequency point;
d) Name - user defined channel name;
e) F signal, MHz - frequency point of the plan;
f) dF noise, MHz - frequency shift for C/N measurement;
g) Bandwidth, MHz - channel bandwidth (for digital channel);
h) Modulation - modulation type for digital channels;
e) SR, kBaud - symbol rate of the digital signal.
To view and print out the report on a channel plan, click «View and print report» .
The preview window will appear on the screen. In this window you can view, add text
comments, and print out the report (section 4.10.13).
