c) viewing and editing of the template data (
Error
). Select by
«F3»
key
.
Allows selecting
a parameter of the template used for CDL checking, and edit its value.
d) viewing of the CDL page in bar-graph mode (
Bar
). Select by
«F4»
key. Allows
viewing the measurement results in
SCAN
mode (section 3.4.3).
To start scanning of a page, press
«F1»
key. After the scanning has been completed,
new values will appear in the measured data field of the screen. If the frequency values (or
the names of frequency points, depending on the screen view selected) are highlighted in
inverse colour, this indicates that the errors have been detected during the check against
the template.

Figure 4.21
To identify the errors, open the table of the templates (
«F3»
key). The template
parameter table will appear on the screen (figure 4.22).
Figure 4.22
In this table you can see the parameters for the measured data to be verified with. Each
parameter is editable. You can set less strict parameters if it is allowed for the cable
network under test. The table contains twelve parameters:
a) Level Vid min
. The parameter defines the minimum possible value of video carrier
level. Can be adjusted within 45…95 dB
μ
V. The default value is 60 dB
μ
V.
b) Level Vid max
. The parameter defines the maximum possible value of video carrier
level. Can be adjusted within 45…95 dB
μ
V. The default value is 80 dB
μ
V.
c) Vid/Audio min
. The parameter defines the minimum possible value of V/A ratio. Can
be adjusted within 5…25 dB. The default value is 10 dB.
d) Vid/Audio max
. The parameter defines the maximum possible value of V/A ratio.
Can be adjusted within 5…25 dB. The default value is 20 dB.
e) Vid/Noise min
. The parameter defines the minimum possible value of V/N ratio. Can
be adjusted within 15…55 dB. The default value is 43 dB.
f) dL(40-900MHz)
. The parameter defines the maximum possible value of difference
between any channel levels within 40 to 1000 MHz range. Can be adjusted within 10…20
dB. The default value is 15 dB.
g) dL(40-600MHz)
. The parameter defines the maximum possible value of difference
between any channel levels within 40 to 600MHz range. Can be adjusted within 7…17 dB.
The default value is 12 dB.
h) dL(40-300MHz)
. The parameter defines the maximum possible value of difference
between any channel levels within 40 to 300MHz range. Can be adjusted within 5…15 dB.
The default value is 10 dB.
