4.4. Data Logger Function
4.4.1. General Information
Data Logger is intended for automation of the procedure of recording the measurement
results. There are three data logger directories: Channel Plan List, Channel Data Logger
(CDL), and Spectrum Data Logger (SDL). The data logger memory is common for all the
directories and is of a dynamic type. The memory capacity allows to save up to 32 channel
plans (up to 112 frequency points per plan), up to 112 CDL pages (with maximum number
of channels), and up to 14 SDL pages (within full frequency range), or up to 110 SDL
pages (for up to 100 MHz-wide frequency bands). The Analyzer allows viewing the saved
data off-line or by means of a computer. To check the data logger memory, the IT-088
offers memory manager mode. This mode allows testing, free resources determination,
and formatting of the memory.
4.4.2. Channel Plan List
icon in the main menu corresponds to this mode. The mode allows performing all
the operations with channel plans of IT-081, IT-087, and IT-088: viewing, editing, deleting,
and creation of new pages. See figure 4.13.
The top line (index 1) divides the table into columns. The first column is a plan number
(from 1 to 32). Using
« »
,

arrows or by means of the alphanumeric keypad you can
select the channel plan. If you entered the number, the channel will appear at the top line
of the screen. The second column is a plan name of up to 16 characters in length (index
2). This name is assigned by user during creation and later can be edited. If the channel
plan is empty, it will be indicated by
*****empty*****
message. The last column is the
number of frequency points in the channel plan (index 4). The bottom line (index 3) shows
the commands that can be accessed by the functional keys. If a channel plan is selected in
measurement parameters setting mode (section 4.3.10) its name will be highlighted in
inverse colour.
