key to return to the measurement mode.
4.3.10. Measurement Parameters Setting Mode
The
icon in the main menu refers to this mode. In this mode the screen displays
the list of parameters, which allow for the setting of the measurement modes. Use
« »
and

keys to select the required parameter to be edited. Edit the required values by
means of

arrows.
There are seven parameters available for editing by the user:
a) Attenuator.
Selection of the attenuator.
This parameter tunes the attenuation at the input of the Analyzer. The values available:
0 dB
,
20 dB
,
40 dB
, and automatic selection (
auto
).
b) Map.
Selection of the channel plan.
This parameter is intended for selection of the channel plan from the list of the
prepared plans. The values available: off (
no channel plan
), channel plan names (only
from the prepared list). If a channel plan has been selected, its name will be displayed for
1 sec when the Analyzer enters any measurement mode.
c) Scan mode.
Selection of the scan mode.
This parameter adjusts the starting cycle and scanning speed in the modes of spectrum
analysis and bar-graph measurements. The values available:
fast
- the maximum
scanning speed of 0,3 sec.,
1:1
– scanning cycle 0.5 sec. The time indicated for the
starting cycle is shown for the spectrum analyzer with the scan scale of 2 MHz/Div.
d) Averaging.
Selection of the measured data analysis procedure.
This parameter adjusts the measured data calculation scheme. The values available:
average:1
(the measured value is immediately displayed),
average:4
(the displayed value
is the average of four measurement results),
average:8
(the displayed value is the
average of eight measurement results),
peak
(the displayed value is calculated by quasi
peak law). If the signal magnitude is growing in a frequency point, the measured value will
be immediately displayed, and the value will be reduced by 1% with every sweep. The
peak
mode can be enabled only in spectrum analyzer mode. In other measurement
modes the data will be displayed as in
average:1
mode.
e) Amplitude.
Enabling of the auto selection mode of the magnitude reference level
shift.
The values available:
manual
(manual setting of the shift),
auto
(auto selection of the
reference level shift). If the selection is performed automatically, in
SPECTRUM
and
SCAN
modes the display range shift will be set by the maximum level value on the screen.
f) Threshold.
Selection of the threshold for auto detection of a channel plan.
This parameter adjusts the threshold level. The values available:
10…80 dB
μ
V
. The
parameter is used for auto detection of a channel plan (section 4.4.2.4).
g) Scan DVB-T.
Enables channel search and defining the digital signal parameters
while auto detection of a channel plan and scanning of a CDL page.
h) TV sys
. Name of the channel allocation standard set in the Analyzer. The standard
parameters can be edited and set in the Analyzer only by means of ViewIt program.
