Installing the Md2/PCI Board
Follow the safety precautions described on page 68 before you
install the board.
To install the board
1. Turn off the power to your computer.
Leave the computer plugged into a grounded power
outlet so that the power cord can serve as a ground for
the computer.
2. Remove the cover according to the computer
manufacturer’s instructions.
3. Locate the slot you selected for the Md2/PCI board.
The slots are usually labeled on the motherboard, but
you may have to refer to your computer documentation
for a slot ID chart.
If you do not install the board properly, you may be unable to
restart your computer. Read and follow the procedure in this
section carefully.
If you do not turn off the computer, you could get an
electric shock and cause damage to your computer’s
components and the board.
