3 How to get started (GigE G2)

No firewall should be active on the network adapter where the Photonfocus GigE camera
is connected. If the Windows Firewall is used then it can be switched off like this: Open
the Windows Firewall configuration (

Start -> Control Panel -> Network and Internet

Connections -> Windows Firewall

) and click on the Advanced tab. Uncheck the network

where your camera is connected in the

Network Connection Settings

(see Fig. 3.7).
