3 Product description

3.1 System design

The QMG 700 consists of the following components:

● Control unit QMS 700 with 4 plastic feet 

1)

● HF generator QMH 40x
● Analyzer QMA 4x0
● Electrometer pre-amplifier EP 422 or ion counter pre-amplifier CP 400 (dependent on configura-

tions)

Performing ion count

► For ion counting, use the CP 400 ion counter pre-amplifier instead of the EP 422 electrometer pre-

amplifier.

The following block diagram shows the basic QMG 700 system design and the designations of the indi-
vidual modules. Numerous configurations are possible depending on the application.
