Changing the Battery
1. Open the adapter housing by unscrewing the four Phillips screws.
2. Pull the battery connecting cable plug from its socket (view Figure 2.3 on page 13).
3. Press the two clips which secure the battery simultaneously to the middle and remove
the old battery unit.
4. Press the new battery unit into position.
The pack is properly secured after the two clips have made an audible click.
5. Insert the battery connecting cable plug into the socket in the printed circuit board.
6. Close the housing cover and screw it tight.
7. Reset the measurement of the consumed battery charge by pressing the

button in the device DTM (see chapter 5.8).
The measurement is reset.

Disposal of Batteries
The battery / the battery unit is non-rechargeable. The batteries are non-hazardous when
used according to the recommendations of the manufacturer. They do, however, contain
hazardous substances and therefore must be disposed of in compliance with the
applicable laws and guidelines of the corresponding country.
