5.1
Configuration Options
Now that the device has joined a WirelessHART network, you have 2 configuration options:
•
Continue configuration via the wired connection (HART modem connected to the device
as described in the previous chapter). Proceed with the following section.
•
Configure via the wireless connection using the WirelessHART gateway WHA-GW*.
Please follow the instructions below.
Configuring via the WirelessHART gateway WHA-GW*
We assume that the WirelessHART gateway WHA-GW* is installed and configured
correctly according to the gateway manual. In addition, we assume that the device to be
configured has joined the WirelessHART network of the WHA-GW*.
1. Start your PACTware project containing the gateway device DTM (view Figure 5.1 on
page 41).

2. In the project view, right-click on the entry
WHA-GW
.
3. To add the device DTM, choose
Add device
from the context menu.
The
Device for
window opens (view Figure 5.2 on page 41).

4. Select the entry of the WirelessHART device you want to add to the PACTware project.
5. Click
OK
.
The device DTM is added to the project (view Figure 5.3 on page 42). You may continue
with parameterizing the device as described in the following.
