Display Settings
The display can be used
• to read and/or modify the Ethernet TCP/IP settings.
• to perform simple communication tests.
The display shows 4 lines of 20 characters each.
6.1
The main menu
After the startup phase, the display is in the main menu and displays the following im-
age:
The currently installed software version may be seen in the topmost line.
The second line displays the current date.
The fourth line contains the commands that are available in the current menu. These
commands can be reached through Function keys F1 through F4 of the display. Note
the following relationship here:
6.2
Communication test
If the F1 key is pressed in the main menu, the display sends a Reset command via
the IPC to the MVI-D2-2HRX Control Interface unit. By observing LEDs SD and RD
on the Control Interface unit, you can monitor here whether communication between
the IPC and the Control Interface unit is working.
In this case, the LED RD (Receive Data) must first light up. This means that the Con-
trol Interface unit has received the command correctly. If the Control Interface unit has
been reset to the original status, it sends a confirmation to the IPC. In this case, the
