MACHINE USE AND CARE
a) Do not use the machine if the switches
do not turn it on and off. Any machine that
cannot be controlled with the switches is
dangerous and must be repaired.
b) Disconnect the plug from the power
source before:
• relocation and transport
• cleaning, checking and maintenance
• failure removal
• leaving (even in case of short interruption)
• storing.
Such preventive safety measures reduce
the risk of starting the machine accidentally.
c) Store idle machines out of the reach of
children and do not allow persons unfa-
miliar with the machine or these instruc-
tions to operate the machine. Machines
are dangerous in the hands of untrained us-
ers.
d) Maintain machines. Check for misalign-
ment or binding of moving parts, break-
age of parts and any other condition that
may affect the machine’s operation. If
damaged, have the machine repaired
before use. Many accidents are caused by
poorly maintained machines.
e) Never operate a machine with missing,
defective or damaged parts, labels or
cable. Have defective machines repaired
immediately. Properly maintained ma-
chines reduce the risk of injury.
f) Use the machine in accordance with
these instructions, taking into account
the working conditions and the work to
be performed. Use of the machine for op-
erations different from those intended could
result in a hazardous situation.
g) Do not modify the machine or any of its
parts. Many accidents are caused by ma-
nipulated machines.
SERVICE
a) Have your machine serviced by a recog-
nised workshop using only identical re-
placement parts. This will ensure that the
safety of the machine is maintained.
MACHINE SPECIFIC SAFETY WARNINGS
a) Do not operate the mixer unattended. as
this may lead to accidents.
b) Only fill and empty the mixer drum when
the motor is running. to avoid damage to
the machine.
c) Do not change the motor speed. Exces-
sive speed may damage the motor and all
rotating parts.
d) Move the concrete mixer only by manual
movement. Falling Injury.
e) Keep any equipment not being used in
dry, frost free and locked locations.
Damage to the machine injury.
f) The machine shall not be operating when it is
being moved.
g) Position the mixer on level and stable
ground. Unstable machines may tip over
and cause injury and damage.
h) Risk of trapping / entanglement! Do not
reach into the drum interior to the rotating
blades.
i) Use only the original standard of insulation
material for repair and maintain insulation
distances.
j) Disconnect the mixer from power sup-
ply before opening the enclosure and do
not operate it unless the enclosure is fully
closed.
k) Warning! Hazard of inhalation of fumes.
Safety instructions
WARNING Read all safety warnings
and all instructions. Failure to follow
the warnings and instructions may result in
electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for fu-
ture reference.
WORK AREA SAFETY
a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Clut-
tered or dark areas invite accidents.
b) Do not operate machines in explosive
atmospheres, such as in the presence
of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Ma-
chines create sparks which may ignite the
dust or fumes.
c) Keep children and bystanders away
while operating the machine. Distractions
can cause you to lose control.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
a) Do not use any provisional electric ap-
pliances. Machine plugs must match
the outlet. Never modify the plug in any
way. Do not use any adapter plugs with
earthed (grounded) machines. Unmodi-
fied plugs and matching outlets will reduce
risk of electric shock.
b) Avoid body contact with earthed or
grounded surfaces, such as pipes, ra-
diators, ranges and refrigerators. There
is an increased risk of electric shock if your
body is earthed or grounded.
c) Do not expose machines to rain or wet
conditions. Water entering a machine will
increase the risk of electric shock.
d) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the
cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging
the machine. Keep cord away from heat,
oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Dam-
aged or entangled cords increase the risk of
electric shock.
e) When operating a machine outdoors,
use an extension cord suitable for out-
door use. Use of a cord suitable for outdoor
use reduces the risk of electric shock.
f) Always use a residual current device
(RCD) protected supply. Use of an RCD re-
duces the risk of electric shock. Before use,
always check your RCD for function.
g) Use extension cables which are intended
for outdoor use and are protected against
splashes of water. Extension cables up to
25 m need to have a cross section area of at
least 1.5 mm 2 . Risk of electric shock. Make
sure they do not get jammed, broken and the
plug is not wet.
PERSONAL SAFETY
a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing
and use common sense when operating
a machine. Do not use a machine while
you are tired or under the influence of
drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment
of inattention while operating machines
may result in serious personal injury.
b) Do not touch, inhale (dust development)
or consume the cement or additive.
Wear personal protective equipment.
Protective equipment such as dust mask,
non-skid safety shoes, eye protection and
hearing protection used for appropriate
conditions will reduce personal injuries.
c) Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure
the switch is in the off-position before
connecting to power source or relocat-
ing the machine. Running machines invite
accidents.
d) Remove any adjusting key or wrench be-
fore turning the machine on. A wrench or
a key left attached to a rotating part of the
machine may result in personal injury.
e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing
and balance at all times. This enables
better control of the machine in unexpected
situations.
f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose cloth-
ing or jewellery. Keep your hair, cloth-
ing and gloves away from moving parts.
Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be
caught in moving parts.
g) Keep adequate safety distance from the
machine. Don‘t touch the running mixer
drum. There is a risk of getting caught and
injured.
