Viewing Audit Trails
There are four types of audit trails included on the Audit Trail menu:
• Error Audit Trail stores and records errors associated with the system; for example, date/
time, user name, communication errors, details, and so on.
• pH Calibration Audit Trail stores and records pH calibration history; for example, date/
time, user name, coefficients of acids and bases, temperature, asymmetric potential,
response and sensitivity, and so on.
These two audit trails are added for CFR Part 11:
• Operation Audit Trail records and stores information at a system level; for example, user
and when logged in, when users were added to the system, all operational steps, and so on.
• Parameter Audit Trail stores and records parameter change history; for example, date/
time, user name, parameter group, parameter, changed value, and so on.
All Audit trails are viewed in the same manner.
1. Select Audit Trail on the Main Menu bar; a drop-down menu containing a list of audit trails
is displayed.
2. Select the desired audit trail; a dialog containing details on the activities for the selected type
of audit trail is displayed; this example shows the Error Audit Trail Viewer.
3. Tabs display at the bottom of the viewer window. All displays errors for all users. A tab is also
added for each individual user; click these tabs to view a trail for a specific user.
4. Click Exit in the menu bar at the top of the viewer to close the dialog.
