Zeta Potential Determination by Electrophoretic Light Scattering

Mar 2014                                                  

E-9 

If zeta potential is high, the particles are stable due to high electrostatic repulsion between 
particles. On the contrary, a low zeta potential value (approaching zero) increases the probability 
of particles colliding and thus forming particle aggregates. Thus, zeta potential is used as an index 
of the dispersion stability of particles.
