Measuring Free Space

5. Ensure that the O-ring is in place in the analysis port.

O-ring

6. Tilt the dewar and insert the sample holder.

7. Attach the sample holder to the sample port and hand-tighten the connector nut.

8. Using two wrenches (3/4-in and 5/8-in) tighten the nut just until snug. Note, do not over tighten

the connector nut, doing so could damage the port fitting.
