SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) is a protocol to monitor and
manage network-connected devices via network. Target devices have a
management information database called MIB (Management Information
Base). SNMP monitors and controls them through access to their MIBs
using an external management manager.
In this chapter, you will configure the management settings for a SNMP
group (SNMP community) comprising the management manager and
management targets (agents).
SNMP has different versions such as v1/v2c/v3. This Switching Hub
supports all versions.
