Using DVDit!
LE
DVDit!
LE
This software allows you to create DVD-Video format data that includes menus. Use it with MPEG files
that have been either output from an MPEG 2-encoder board or exported from DVD-MovieAlbum.
Write DVD-Video format data directly to DVD-R
You can directly write DVD-Video format image data as a disc image to DVD-R (for General). Also, by
saving the authoring data to a DVD-RAM or hard disc, you can reedit the images or perform play tests.
Use MPEG 2 files exported from DVD-MovieAlbum (LF-D321U only) and
MotionDV STUDIO
You can also use images from a DVD recorder or digital video camera that have been exported as
MPEG 2 files.
Note
You can use video with a data rate of up to 8.3 Mbps. You cannot use data with a higher rate due to
limitations of DVDit!.
Easy creation of interactive DVD menus
You can easily create menus that allow you to select parts to watch, just like commercial DVDs. DVD
contents are simple to make with drag and drop operations.
When you import MPEG 2 files from DVD-MovieAlbum, the play list and program titles are also im-
ported. These titles can then be output as a text file for use when you make DVD menu screens.
Check operation of DVD menus in the editing window
Before writing to a DVD-R, you can check menu operation and playability.
A note on discs you create
•
The DVD-R (for General) you create with this unit and DVDit! LE follow the DVD Forum’s video
recording standards and can be played on DVD players that can play DVD-R and on compatible
DVD-ROM and DVD-RAM drives . However, play is not guaranteed on any of these.
You will need software to enable play of DVD-Video on DVD-RAM and DVD-ROM drives.
