Chapter 3 Troubleshooting
• The REGI CLUTCH for operation failure
• A paper transportation failure due to a foreign substance/
burr on the paper path
• Use of paper out of spec (Spec: Refer to Chapter 1
Specifications.)
• The I/F PWB or MCU PWB for a failure
008-620 REGICON TEMP SENSOR FAILURE
Description
The outputs of the ENVIRONMENT SENSOR
exceed the range from -4 to 140 Degrees Fahrenheit.
BSD on : CH9.16 CH9.31E
Procedure
Turn Off the power. Check the connectivity and poor contact of
the following wires:
• Between the I/F PWB J536-B4 and ENVIRONMENT
SENSOR J255-1
• Between the I/F PWB J536-B2 and ENVIRONMENT
SENSOR J255-3
• Between the I/F PWB J536-B1 and ENVIRONMENT
SENSOR J255-4
Are the resistances of all wires 1 Ohm or less?
Y
N
Check wires with more than 1 Ohm for an open circuit and
poor contact.
Replace the ENVIRONMENT SENSOR J255.
Is the resistance between the ENVIRONMENT SENSOR
P255-3 (+) and P255-4 (-) 6K to 20K Ohm?
Y
N
Replace the ENVIRONMENT SENSOR (PL1.3).
Replace the following parts:
MCU PWB (PL13.1)
008-622 REGICON DATA OVERFLOW FAILURE
(A1 PATCH-X)
Description
At A1 patch detection, the XSO correction setting
value of the calculation result (either Y, M, C, or K) exceeds the
setting range (NVM value 0 to 472).
Check Items
• After the
DC956
Belt Edge Learn has completed
successfully, run
DC685
Regi Control Setup Cycle to
check whether the same failure occurs.
• If the failure persists, restore the values of NVM760-7~14
and 19~26 that is related to Color Regi to defaults and run
DC685
again.
• The detection position of the MOB SENSOR 1 and 2 for
contamination, open circuit, or poor contact
• The IBT BELT and DRUM for a scratch and contamination
• The frame for distortion
• The MCU PWB, ESS PWB, and LSU (ROS) ASSY for a
failure
008-623 REGICON DATA OVERFLOW FAILURE
(A2 PATCH-Y)
Description
At A2 patch detection, the YSO correction setting
value of the calculation result (either Y, M, C, or K) exceeds the
setting range (NVM value 0 to 474).
Check Items
• After the
DC956

Regi Control Setup Cycle to

failure
008-624 REGICON DATA OVERFLOW FAILURE
(A3 PATCH-MAGNIFICATION)
Description
At A3 patch detection, the MAG correction
setting value of the calculation result (either Y, M, C, or K)
exceeds the setting range (NVM value 0 to 1432).
Check Items

DC956
Belt Edge Learn has completed
successfully, run

Regi Control Setup Cycle to

contamination, open circuit, or poor contact

failure
This failure is a hidden failure. Therefore, even if a
failure occurs in the custom mode that is used by a
customer, the machine will not be aborted and the
Failure Code will not be displayed on the UI, which
means that copy output is possible.
