Software (Firmware) Update

When this unit is connected to the Internet, the
unit can automatically check for the latest
software (firmware) version when switched to
standby mode.
We recommend that you always connect this unit
to the Internet. (

Update of the software (firmware) will start when
the unit is turned to standby mode.

You can download the latest software (firmware)
version from the Panasonic support site below.
After you copy the latest software (firmware) to a
CD-R disc, play the disc in the unit and it will
automatically update the software (firmware).

• It may take up to a few hours until the update is completed

depending on the network environment.

• The timer recording always takes preference over the

software (firmware) download; if the timer recording is
scheduled to start, the downloading will be performed at the
next opportunity.

• For the latest firmware update information, please refer to

the Panasonic support site below.

You cannot operate the unit until the update
is complete. Don’t remove the AC mains lead
during the update. Removing the AC mains
lead while the update is in progress may
damage the unit.
