Wind speed can be signifi cantly greater at height than at ground level.

Wind speed can change rapidly. Always consider approaching weather events, the time
required to lower the platform, and methods to monitor current and potential wind con-
ditions.

Do not increase the surface area of the platform or the load. Increase of the area exposed
to the wind will decrease stability.

Do not increase the platform size with unauthorized deck extensions or attachments.

If boom assembly or platform is in a position that one or more outriggers are off the
ground, all persons must be removed before attempting to stabilize the machine. Use
cranes, forklift trucks, or other appropriate equipment to stabilize machine.
