2.6 Setting the Switches
Introduction
Two switches are used to define functions and set the serial
address
S1 - sets step size, mid-range instability control, idle current
reduction and current setting as described in section 2.6.1,
“Setting Up Functions Using Switch S1.”
S2 - sets serial addresses for multiple 5645 operation with
RS-485 and RS-422 communication as described in section
2.6.2., “Setting Up Functions Using Switch S2.”
Groups of individual switches on switch S1 enable or disable
these functions.
Location
The switches are located on the top of the 5645 as shown:
Note: The arrows show the “UP” switch position referenced in
the tables that follow.
