INDOWS

The digital recorder uses Windows as its core operating system. Windows and all of its smarts are
completely locked out from the digital recorder. Rarely you may need to access windows to do
maintenance, re-initialize banks/ cdrw / dvd media etc. Doing this will stop the unit from recording. By
default, when the power button is pressed, the unit will shutdown.

Double click the IDIS Symbol

A Dialogue box will appear. Type in ‘IDISMAN’ and press enter. A menu will appear. Note: There is no
feedback when typing in this password.

UNTICK the Automatic Shutdown and click OK

Other features in this menu are:

Video Compression: Normally set to ML-JPEG but JPEG is also available.
Video Signal: Should be on PAL.
Show Size: Shows image size.
Trace: Use this when you need to test system performance.
Test Watchdog: To test the Watchdog function, put a check mark in the box, and the system will be restart
in two and a half minutes.
View system log...: Shows the list of system log.

It will return back to the Standard GUI.
