15.2 High/Low Limit Alarm Function
This is a function to report as alarm when flow rate indication exceeds the preset range. The high/low limit alarm
is validated when status output is allocated to the high/low limit alarm. The setting related to the high/low limit
alarm is carried out from the "ALArm" submenu of the Setup menu.
■
High alarm point and low alarm point
Sets the threshold level of the flow rate. If the flow rate exceeds the higher limit or goes below the lower limit,
an alarm is generated.
■
Alarm hysteresis
In order to prevent chattering at the flow rate nearby the high limit or low limit, providing hysteresis is
available.
When the flow rate exceeds the high alarm point, reducing the flow rate goes down to High alarm point
setting - Hysteresis setting allows the alarm to be cleared. When the flow rate goes below the low alarm
point, increasing the flow rate up to Low alarm point setting + Hysteresis setting allows the alarm to be
cleared.
15.3 Flow Direction Output Function
Output corresponds to the sign of flow direction.
In the case of reverse flow (when instant flow rate indicated on LCD display shows negative value), active
output is generated.

15. STATUS OUTPUT FUNCTION
This flowmeter has a status output function that can output error/alarm and status information.
Status output is open collector output.
15.1 Selecting Status Output
■
Allocating status output
Sets the function allocated for status output.
Setting is selectable from no allocation, error/alarm output, high-low alarm output, or flow direction.
Error/alarm detection is selected from "Er.Out" of the Setup menu and the higher/lower limit alarm output
setting is selected from "ALArm" of the Setup menu. (Refer to "20. ERROR/ALARM STATUS LIST".)
■
Status output mode
Sets the mode (logic) of status output.
Setting is selectable from Off
・
Active (transistor ON normally, OFF at output) and On

Active (transistor OFF
normally, ON at output).
