6.2 Pipes to be Used
Upstream and downstream pipes adjacent to the flowmeter should be of the same internal
diameter (ID) as the flowmeter. (The exclusive flow straightener, Honey Vane L, and downstream
short pipe have the same ID as the flowmeter.) The table below shows the standard ID of the
flowmeter. Confirm the delivery specification in case ID is non-standard.

6.3 Pressure Gage and Thermometer Taps
If pressure or temperature detection is necessary, provide the probes downstream of the flowmeter (see the
below figure). To avoid disturbances in the flow, temperature detection should be made downstream of the
flowmeter and, at the same time, upstream of the control valve.

6.4 Meter Orientation
The flowmeter may be installed either on a horizontal line or a vertical line.
In a horizontal line, the sensor should not be installed upside down.

In outdoor installations, the meter
should not be installed with conduit
