Drying procedure:
Take the CFPP Head out of the station, remove the cleaning beaker, and put
CFPP Head back in the station.
Now press the little button on top; drying will start.
By default, 180 seconds of drying will be carried out. In the Methods Menu, the
number of drying seconds can be changed.
NOTE: When, after the cleaning cycle the filter is still submerged in cleaning
solvent and (accidentally or on purpose) the button for drying is pressed, CFPP
Head recognizes the liquid at the top of the pipette. In such a case, the drying
cycle will be switched back automatically into a cleaning cycle. Again, after this
second cleaning cycle, the drying indicator light will blink, and the drying
procedure can be started.
This switching of a drying cycle back into a cleaning
cycle will be repeated until there the cleaning solvent is removed/no liquid is
detected at the top of the pipette anymore.
This feature is both a safety measure preventing liquid to enter into the body of
CFPP Head, and a convenient option when cleaning with multiple solvents, for
instance first Heptane and then Acetone.
NOTE: REMOVE FILTER UNIT BEFORE CLEANING PIPETTE WITH ACETONE
because of non-resistant O-rings in the filter unit. (Acetone-resistant Kalrez O-
rings optionally available.)
