Step 6.
The first temperature point that must be calibrated is 65ºC. In the
“SETPOINT” field, enter 65 and press “done” on the keypad.
Step 7.
In the “TOP” field, enter the value “-10”. This will offset the high zone
temperature sensor by -10 ºC. The purpose of this is to minimize the influence
of the high zone temperature while calibrating the low zone temperature. A new
row will appear in the calibration field, representing calibration data of
temperature point 65 ºC.
Step 8
. Wait until the set temperature is stable on both the iLabCB application
and on the thermometer. On the thermometer, the temperature will probably
not be exactly 65 ºC.
Step 9
. The difference between the reading on the thermometer and the
AirSTAR application should be entered as an offset in the application (image 6).
Press “CALIBRATE” to save the offset.
Example
: Say the AirSTAR temperature is 65 ºC and the thermometer displays
67 ºC. Now in the “BOTTOM” field, enter the value “-2” and press “CALIBRATE”.
Both AirSTAR and the thermometer should now display the same value.
Step 10
. Place the thermometer probe + holder in the bath jacket so that the
probe is in the high zone (1 cm under the rim of the jacket) and in the center of
the jacket.
Step 11
. Now set the offset for the high zone. Remember that an offset of
10ºC was set in step 7. The now existing difference between the reading on the
thermometer and the AirSTAR application should be entered as an offset in the
application. Press “CALIBRATE” to save the offset.
Example: The AirSTAR temperature is 74ºC and the thermometer displays
65ºC. In the “FIELD” field, now enter the value “9” and press “CALIBRATE”.
Step 12
. Repeat starting at step 5. In step 6, enter the next-to-calibrate
temperature in the “SETPOINT” field. 25ºC in this case. Follow steps 7 to 11.
Step 13
. Repeat steps 5 to 10 with “SETPOINT” values of respectively 0, -34, -
51, -67, -87, -105.
Step 14
. Calibration is now complete. When pressing “STOP”, the calibration
routine will be stopped and the bath will warm up to it’s idle temperature.
