The Head’s internal temperature sensors are calibrated on two temperature
values, -100 ºC and 100 ºC. These “send values” can come from either the
decade box or the two precision resistors.
Step 1. Place the CPPP Head in the ColdBlock and make sure it is connected
correctly (the Head’s light should be solid green).
Step 2. Take the Head out of the ColdBlock. A bright light starts to blink
however a dim green light will continuously shine in the background indicating
the connection is still active.
Step 3. Go to the System > Service > Temperature menu of the CPPP Head
Step 4. Connect the decade box and calibration cable with the CPPP Head. Set
the decade box to -100 ºC. (Alternatively, connect the -100 ºC precision
resistor to the Head.)
Step 5. In the “LOW TEMPERATURE POINT” box, enter -100 in the ºC field (or
the corresponding values in the ºF or
Ω
field).
Step 6. Press “CALIBRATE”. The difference in “send” value and “read” value will
be automatically entered as offset in the green field, and stored inside the
Head.
Step 7. Repeat step 4 – 6 but with set value of 100 ºC.
Step 8. When ready, press “DONE” to exit the menu.
6.5 SAMPLE PROBE CALIBRATION
Requires:
- PN 929042 - PT-100 probe calibration cable AirSTAR and AirProbe
- RTD Calibrator Type “Fluke 712B”
(
Not supplied by ORBIS BV)
Each PT-100 comes ORBIS BV factory-calibrated on two temperature points: 0
ºC and -40 ºC. The calibration offset data are stored inside the probe’s
microchip with unique ID. A maximum of 11 points can be stored on the chip.
