6.1 Normal Operating Mode and Alternative Device States
The Datalog X-PRO is delivered in Sleep/off State, to wake it for the first time, join the magnet
provided one time near the main unit top cover (See Figure 6-1) ; after this, the system will
automatically enter Normal Operating Mode
, which can be recognized by checking the LED on
the top cover of Main Unit's enclosure (LED Indicator, from now on); if it flashes blue sporadically
(almost, once a minute), the device reports correct operation. Also, in Normal Operating Mode, as
long as a magnet is placed near the Main Unit, as described in Figure 6-1, the LED Indicator will
shine red.
NOTE:
LED Indicator will flash blue, green, red or purple to show that the device is reading sensors,
configuring its Communications Module, sending data, or accepting a command. Refer to next
table to understand the proper Datalog X-PRO LED indicator operation.

Accepting/Confirming a Command
From Normal Op. Mode, users can take the device to several alternative states using the magnet
provided with the device (or any similar neodymium magnet). Access to said states is performed
after briefly, and on several occasions, joining such magnet to the farthest edge of the Main Unit
from its protruding antenna, between the two cable glands, as shown in the following image:
