3.4 Connection of cables

CAUTION
• Do not touch the end surfaces of the light guide cable or leave dirt on them. If an
end surface of the cable gets dirty, wipe with a lint-free cloth until the end surface
becomes free of dirt. If the cable with a dirty extremity is used, the light guide cable
may be damaged.
• Do not connect the cables of the surgical microscope in an entangled or intersected
way. Otherwise, an excessive force applied to the connector may disconnect the
cable during operation, the force applied to the cable may cause wire disconnection
or the cables may hinder the switching to the spare lamp.
• Do not apply an excessive force to the cables and terminals. Otherwise, equipment
damage may result.
3.4 Connection of cables

Arrange the cables of the surgical microscope in order of the light guide cable, power
cable and communication cable from the top to the bottom, so that they are not
entangled.
