5.5 Set CO
2
Offset Compensation
The CO
2
Offset Compensation may be used to adjust the CO
2
to your specific standards,
especially before the first operation of the instrument.
1.
Start CO
2
regulation at the desired concentration (usually 5%) (as described in Chapter 5.3).
2.
Allow the CO
2
levels to stabilize for at least 20 minutes.
3.
Insert a CO
2
incubator analyser probe into the coin screw opening in the sliding cover of the
CERO and measure the CO
2
concentration.
NOTE
We recommend the use of the Vaisala’s CARBOCAP
®
Handheld CO
2
Meter GM70
with a range of 0% - 20%.
4.
Go to the System Menu and select Offset Calibration (Figure 18).
5.
Select CO
2
Offset Rotate the click-wheel to set the Temperature Offset.

The CO
2
Offset is defined as follows:
