CONNECTING THE POWER CORD
Follow these guidelines when connecting your
unit to a power source:
■
The unit is intended for use in the country of
purchase only and requires 220–240 V AC. Do
not use it outside the country where it was
purchased.
■
Only plug the unit into a grounded 220–240 V
AC outlet.
■
Use only the power cord that came with the unit.
Using a longer cord or extension cord can cause
the unit to malfunction.
■
Unplug the unit only by pulling on the plug itself.
Never pull on the cord.
■
The unit is equipped with a three-prong,
grounding-type plug (the third pin is a grounding
pin). This plug will only fit into a grounding-type
outlet. This is a safety feature. If you are unable
to insert the plug into your outlet, contact an
electrician to replace your outlet (do not use a 3-
to-2 adapter). Do not defeat the safety purpose
of the grounding-type plug.
■
Do not plug the unit into an outlet shared with an
appliance such as an air conditioner, computer,
electric typewriter, or copier. These devices ge-
nerate electrical noise, which can interfere with
the operation of the unit.
DO NOT GRASP
THE UNIT IN
THIS AREA
LIFTING THE UNIT
When lifting the unit out of the box, or when you need to move the unit, grip the recessed areas on each side of the
unit.
Be sure to grasp the unit only in the areas indicated in the illustration below. Grasping the unit in
other areas may cause damage to the unit.
You will need someone to help you as the unit is very heavy. When lifting, be sure to hold the unit firmly and level.
