Chapter 5 

– PLANNED MAINTENANCE 

 

GENERAL CLEANING 

For correct printer operation it is recommended that certain parts of the printer are cleaned on a periodic basis, 
and anyway every time the machine is serviced or planned maintenance is carried out . 
 

Cleaning the outer case 

 

1. 

Switch off the printer and disconnect it from the power socket 

 

2. 

Clean  the  outer  case  of  the  printer,  the  methacrylate  panels  and  the  surface  of  the  safety  mat  using  a 
damp cloth, avoiding the use of corrosive substances such as solvents, alcohol, petrol or other abrasive 
substances. 

 

Cleaning paths 

 

1. 

Switch off the printer and disconnect it from the power socket. 

 

2. 

Using a cotton cloth clean all the surfaces of the axes guides. After cleaning, grease the guides depositing 
3 lentil-sized drops of grease per guide 
Use  a  jet  of  compressed  air  to  clean  the  extruder  block  and  the  cooling  fans,  taking  care  to  remove  
filament residues and any foreign bodies deposited on the parts. 

 

PLANNED MAINTENANCE EVERY 6 MONTHS OR EVERY 1000 HOURS OF OPERATION
