UNMOUNTING THE SAFETY MAT 

The safety mat ensures that the machine is powered off in the event of the printer being subjected to any kind of 
abnormal pressure (e.g. caused by the operator’s hands or objects accidentally left inside the machine). When 
the safety mat intervenes, the blue reset key on the right side of the printer lights. By pressing this key all the 
machine functions can be reactivated. 
 
Before attempting any of the operations described in this Chapter, first power off the machine and disconnect it 
from the electrical outlet. 
 

1. 

Lift the guide at the rear and on the right side of the mat. The guides are fixed with double-sided adhesive 
tape. You may need to replace the double-sided adhesive when the original is no longer effective.
