Polling reception

When carrying out polling reception, the fax machine or PC with fax
software you are polling should be able to carry out standard polling
transmission or ITU polling transmission.

1.

With no documents loaded, press the SELECT FUNCTION key.

2.

Press the 5/POLLING One Touch Key. The display indicates the
mailbox number.

3.

Press the START key when the fax machine you are contacting
supports standard polling, and go to Step 5.

4.

If the fax machine or PC with fax software you are contacting
supports ITU polling, using the numeric keypad enter the number of
the personal box or ITU sub-address on the machine you are polling
and press the START key. The display prompts you to select the
location of the receiving machine.

Select the location of the fax machine or PC you are polling as
follows:

Press the START key. Your fax machine will begin polling the
remote fax machine or PC.

Cancelling polling transmission

Standard one-time/bulletin polling

Cancel a standard one-time polling transmission or a standard bulletin
polling transmission as follows:

Press the STOP key. The display indicates that you have selected
communication cancel

Select location

Press the One Touch key. Lift the main One touch keypad to
access One touch keys 21 to 40.

Auto Dial number

Press AUTO DIAL key, then enter a 3 digit Auto Dial code
number on the numeric keypad.

A number dialled on

Dial as you would on a normal telephone.
