9. Pay particular attention to the warnings on the product and in this manual.
10. Use the product only for its intended purpose. Improper use may lead to hazards.
11. In the event of improper use or wrong operation, we do not accept any liability for resulting
damages.
12. The use of accessories and components not expressly recommended by the manufacturer may
result in injuries or damages and voids the warranty.
13. Never leave the product unsupervised while it is switched on.
14. Do not place heavy objects on top of the product.
15. Never immerse electrical parts of the product in water during cleaning or operation. Never hold the
product under running water.
16. Do not under any circumstances attempt to repair the product yourself. For servicing and repairs,
please consult an authorised service agent.
17. The mains voltage must match the information on the rating label of the product.
18. The power plug is used as the disconnect device. Please be sure that the power plug is in operable
condition.
19. Only unplug from the power socket can separate the product completely from the mains.
20. Avoid damages to the power cord that may be caused by kinks or contact with sharp corners.
21. Keep this product including power cord and power plug away from all heat sources like for
example, ovens, hot plates and other heat-producing products/objects.
22. Only unplug from the power socket by the plug itself. Do not pull on the cord.

- when the product is not being used,
- in case of malfunctions,
- before attaching / detaching accessories and
- before cleaning the product.
24. If the power cord or the casing of the product is damaged or if the product is dropped, the product
may not be used before it is examined by an authorised service agent.

34. Do not cover or store the product when it is hot. Unplug it

rst and let it cool down completely in a
safe place which is out of the reach of children.

Attention!
Only switch on the deep fryer once it has been
fi
lled with oil or fat. If you put this
product into operation when empty, it could become damaged.
36. Do not move or transport this product if it is
fi
lled with hot oil/fat. There is a danger of burning from
splattering oil/fat. Wait until the oil/fat has cooled down completely.
37. Avoid contact of water and/or ice with oil or fat. This leads to strong splattering or foaming of oil/fat
during frying. Dab moist foods dry with a paper towel and remove ice from frozen foods. Make sure
that all parts of the deep fryer are dry before putting the oil/fat into the product.
38. The oil or fat level in the deep fryer vat must be between the
MIN
and
MAX
markings (inside).
39. Only use oil or fat that is suitable for frying.
40. Do not mix di
ff
erent types of oil or fat because it can cause the deep fryer to over
fl
ow.
41. Never over
fi
ll the frying basket with food and do not place any cutlery or kitchen tools in the
product.
42. Do not put plastic cutlery into hot fat. Do not
fi
ll hot fat into a plastic container. It could melt.

Attention!
Change the oil/fat at regular intervals. Old or contaminated oil could ignite itself if
overheated.
44. Make sure that there are not any
fl
ammable items above or near the product. If the oil/fat ignites,
pull the plug immediately and close the lid in order to smother the
fl
ames. Never pour water into
hot or burning oil/fat.
45. For nutritious and healthy deep frying, we recommend that foods be fried until they are golden
yellow rather than dark or brown and that burnt residues be removed. Fry starchy foods, especially
grain and potato products, at a maximum of 170 °C.
46. Unplug the product after use and let the oil/fat cool down su
ffi
ciently before inserting or removing
accessories and before cleaning or storing the product.
47. The product must not immersed in water for cleaning.
48. Clean the product and all other accessories after each use.

BEFORE FIRST TIME USE
Before
fi
rst use, clean all parts which come into contact with foods. Refer to the chapter
CLEANING AND
CARE
. All parts of the deep fryer must be carefully dried o

after cleaning.
FILLING FRYING VAT

Press on the lid release button to open the lid.

Remove the frying basket by pulling it upwards.

Fill good quality oil into the frying vat.

The oil level must be between the
MIN
and
MAX
marking (inside the frying vat).
CAUTION
Never switch the product on if there is too little or no oil in the frying vat.
FRYING OIL AND FAT

Use only high-temperature resistant, neutral
fl
avour frying oil (vegetable oil) or frying fat (vegetable
fat) which can be heated to about 220 °C. Palm oil, hydrogenated vegetable oils and fats, re
fi
ned oils
(corn oil, soya oil, and sun
fl
ower oil) for example are all suitable. Cold-pressed and unre
fi
ned oils/fats
such as virgin olive oil, butter and margarine are not suitable.

Attention!
Never mix di
ff
erent oil or fat types together and never mix fresh oil or fat with oil or fat
which has already been used.

If you use frying fat, cut it into pieces and melt it in a pot at low heat. Then
fi
ll the melted fat carefully
into the frying vat. The frying vat must be dry when it is being
fi
lled with the melted fat.
