t
You can keep solid fat at room temperature in the closed deep fryer. When you reheat the fat in the
deep fryer, prick holes in the fat in advance with a fork to avoid the fat from splattering. Take care not
to damage the frying vat. Close the lid and then warm the fat at low heat.
t
Danger of
fi
re!
Edible oil and fat can ignite at temperatures which are too high.
t
If the oil/fat ignites, pull the plug immediately. Never pour water into hot or burning oil/fat. Close the
lid of the deep fryer if it is possible to do so safely. You can try to smother the
fi
re with a blanket or
fi
re-
fi
ghting foam.
OIL PREHEAT
5
Insert the frying basket and close the lid.
6
Slide the knob at the handle and carefully fold the handle against the fryer.
Note:
Apply some fat from the inside on the viewing window in order to prevent that the window gets
steamed up.
7
Connect the power plug to a suitable power outlet.
8
The indicator light lights up.
9
Select the required temperature using the temperature control sliding knob and wait until the
deep fryer has been preheated.
Note:
The frying time and the required temperature are dependent upon the type and characteristics of the
food to be fried (e.g. size and weight). Please read the information on the frozen food packaging also.
FRYING FOODS
10
Pull the frying basket handle upwards until it locks into a horizontal position.
11
Press on the lid release button to open the lid.

The frying food should be completely immersed in oil / fat to achieve even browning result.
CAUTION
t
The lid can be hot.
t
The deep fat fryer is very hot.
t
Hot steam rises and escapes through the steam outlet in the lid during frying and oil could be
splattering.
Note:
Make sure that the food to be fried is dry in order to avoid splattering or foaming of the oil. Dab the
damp food dry with a paper towel and remove ice from frozen foods.
OVERHEATING PROTECTION
If the product overheats (e.g. because there is not enough oil in the frying vat), the product switches
o
ff
automatically. In this case, disconnect the product from the power supply and let it cool down
completely.

FILTERING, STORING AND DISPOSING OF OIL/FAT
Filtering
t
Let the product cool o
ff
after use (at least few hours).
t
It is recommended that you
fi
lter the oil/fat after each frying procedure in order to remove small bits,
e.g. food residues, completely since they accelerate fat spoilage.
t
Pour the cooled oil/fat (it should still be in liquid form) into a metal pot with handles.
t
Remove food residues from the frying vat with a sponge or some paper towel.
t
Mount the frying basket and raise it to the top position. Slowly pour the cooking oil/ fat through the
fi
lter back into the deep fryer. You can use a paper towel or a piece of cotton material as a
fi
lter.
t
If you fry often, the oil/fat can be stored in the deep fryer. Close the lid and keep the product in a cool,
dry place.
t
Change the oil/fat after 3 to 5 frying procedures. Be sure to change the oil/fat if it foams, smokes or
smells unpleasant when heated, or if it has become dark and viscous.
Storing
t
If you only use this product occasionally, remove the oil/fat from the product and store it in a sealed
container in the refrigerator.
t
Keep oil/fat in which you have used to fry
fi
sh separate from frying oil/fat of other foods.
t
Do not season food before or during frying. The oil can be used longer this way.
Disposing
t
Pour the oil into a sealed container and then dispose of it.
t
Pour the still-warm fat into a pot lined with newspaper and wait until it has solidi
fi
ed. Then wrap the
fat completely in the paper and dispose of it.
t
Do not dispose of old oil/fat into the sink but always in the household waste. Inquire with your city
administration regarding a collection point.
CAUTION
Old or contaminated oil/fat can ignite itself when overheated. In case of
fi
re, pull the plug immediately
and close the lid. Never pour water into hot or burning oil/fat.
