Configuring the Steering Control Unit

6.1

SCU Setup Menu

6.1.1

Accessing the SCU Setup

At the time of writing of this manual, the NAVIPILOT 4000 CDU is the only bus de-
vice capable of accessing the SCU setup menu.

The SCU Setup is contained in the CDU’s Service Setup 2 menu. The CDU’s
setup menus are code-protected against inadvertent or unauthorized changes.
The access code for the Service Setup 2 is

To enter the SCU setup from the NAVIPILOT 4000 CDU...

Power up the system with all SCUs and the CDU connected to the NAVINET 4000
Steering Control Network.

Acknowledge any alarm which may now be raised by the CDU by pressing the
„Accept“ key.

Make sure that a manual steering mode is selected.

Press the „Menu“ key repeatedly until the Service
Setup 2 option is shown in the menu bar at the bot-
tom of the screen.

Press the softkey associated with the Service
Setup 2 option.

The access code entry screen is shown.
