Setup 600 – Electric Shaft

Mode

Function:

Enables or disables the electric shaft function in

SynchroHelm™

sys-

tems.

Settings:

Enables the electric shaft function. This is the required setting for

SynchroHelm™

units.

OFF

Disables the electric shaft function. This is the required setting
for non-

SynchroHelm™

units.

Wheel Mid

Function:

Enables or disables the „wheel midships“ function in

SynchroHelm™

systems.

Settings:

Enables the „wheel midships“ function. When the steering mode
changes from FU to any other mode,

SynchroHelm™

FU control

units turn their hand- or miniwheels to the midship’s position.

OFF

Disables the „wheel midships“ function. When the steering mode
changes from FU to any other mode,

SynchroHelm™

FU control

units leave their hand- or miniwheels at their current position.

Bumpless Switch-Over

Function:

Enables or disables the „bumpless switch-over“ function in

Synchro-

Helm™

systems.

Settings:

Enables the „bumpless switch-over“ function. When the steering
mode changes from any other mode to FU,

SynchroHelm™

control units turn their hand- or miniwheels to the actual rudder
position before the active unit takes over control. The active rud-
der order will be equal to the actual rudder in the previous steer-
ing mode.

OFF

Disables the „bumpless switch-over“ function. When the steering
mode changes from any other mode to FU, the active

Synchro-

Helm™

FU control takes over control immediately. The active

rudder order will be equal to the position of the active unit’s
hand- or miniwheel at the time of switch-over.
