Setup 600 – Rudder Settings

Rudder Scaling

Function:

Selects the scaling of the rudder order and act. rudder bargraphs.

Settings:

10 - 20 - 30 - 40

Linear scaling for units with a max. rudder angle of 45°.

5 - 10 - 20 - 40

Non-linear scaling (higher resolution at small rudder angles) for
units with a max. rudder angle of 45°.

10 - 20 - 40 - 70

Non-linear scaling (higher resolution at small rudder angles) for
units with a max. rudder angle of 70°.

10 - 20 - 50 - 90

Non-linear scaling (higher resolution at small rudder angles) for
units with a max. rudder angle of 90°.

30 - 60 - 90 - 120

Linear scaling for units with a max. rudder angle of 120°.

10 - 30 - 70 - 120

Non-linear scaling (higher resolution at small rudder angles) for
units with a max. rudder angle of 120°

Maximum Rudder

Function:

Sets the maximum rudder order that may be commanded using this
unit.

Settings:

Max. rudder (20 – 120 °)

Set to the required value. In FU Mini-wheel / Display Units, this is
the order given when the miniwheel is put hard-over. In FU Inter-
face / Display units, max. rudder should be set to the value cor-
responding to hard-over as indicated on the handwheel’s gradu-
ated scale (45 or 70 ° in most cases)

Calibration

Function:

Accesses the calibration sub-menu.

Settings:

When sub-menu is entered, the operator is guided through the cali-
bration procedure by step-by-step instructions shown on the screen.
The sub-menu is automatically quit upon completion of the calibration
procedure.
