Setup 358 – Options

Setup Code

Function:

Enables or disables the access code protection for the setup menus.

Settings:

ON

Enables code protection for the setup menus.

OFF

Disables code protection for the setup menus.

Note

Code protection may only be disabled temporarily to facilitate setting up or servic-
ing the system. Code protection must always be enabled after service has been
completed and the system is put back into normal operation.

Powerup Test

Function:

Enables or disables the test routine at power-up.

Settings:

ON

Enables the power-up test routines. When powering up, the unit
will test the ROM, RAM and EEPROM before starting normal op-
eration.

OFF

Disables the power-up test routines. When powering up, the unit
will start normal operation without any test.

Service I/O

Function:

Configures the internal RS-232 service interface.

Settings:

DISABLED

Disables the service interface. The interface should always be
disabled after service has been completed and the system is put
back into normal operation.

9600 BAUD

Enables the interface at 9600 baud.

28800 BAUD

Enables the interface at 28800 baud.

57600 BAUD

Enables the interface at 57600 baud.

Note

At the time of writing of this manual, no equipment is available which uses the
BIUs internal service interface.
