The
Log Message
block has two parameters:
•
filename:
A character string (less than or equal to 50 characters) specifying part
of the name for the application’s log file. Log file names are assigned by the
system using the format filename

•
filename is user specified.
•
nnn is the number of the IVR system running the application, padded with
zeroes ("0") to make it three digits.
•
mmm is number of the IVR phone port running the application, padded
with zeroes ("0") to make it three digits.
•
Log message:
A character
string (less than or equal to 100
characters) specifying the
message to be logged.
The following information pertains to the use of the
Log Message
block:
•
If this block executes sucessfully, a new log file is created or the specified
message is appended to an existing file.
•
Log file lines are prefixed with date and time information. For example:
03/16/01 09:56:33 application starts
•
If the operation is unsuccessful, it is usually due to illegal file name
characters, inappropriate write permissions, or disk space problems.

Log Message
is used to
place information into a log
file based on specified
parameters. It logs any text
that meets the size
limitations. It does not use
any resources.
