The component file of a MultiMedia file that contains the vocabulary
element attributes (for example, labels, sizes, associated data, etc.).
Also included in this file are the element access pointers (EAPs),
which point to the relevant audio data in the corresponding MMF data
file. The index file has a
.mmi
extension.

IPML
Acronym for Integration Package for Meridian Link. A native
integration that delivers Automatic Number Identification (ANI) and
Dialed Number Identification Service (DNIS) information from the
Meridian 1 to the Integrated Voice Response (IVR) systems.
IVR
Interactive Voice Response. Refers to systems which communicate
with a user through a telephone interface.
key
A set of characters that is pattern-matched to the data stored in file
records. Records in both hashed and indexed files can be located by a
key.
Log
The text-based utility used to display messages sent between MPS
processes. Log monitors message traffic among selected VOS
processes and may be used for diagnostics.

MPS
Acronym for Nortel Networks Media Processing Server Series. The
hardware and software needed to create a call processing
environment. The MPS system consists of MPS software (including
ASE and VOS) and a TMS. One TMS is required for each MPS unit
defined on a node.
