INSTALLING AND REMOVING THE OPTIONAL UNIT

Change the DIP switch settings
of the printer.

Change the settings as they apply to cutter
mode, referring to step 6 in “3.1 Operation
Checks During Installation” on page 3-2.

Replace the film strip in its
original position.

Position the film strip, aligning it to the
groove.

Connect the simplified cutter
unit’s connector to the printer.

Install the simplified cutter unit
on the printer, inserting the
hooks into the two slots and
pushing the unit downward as
shown in the illustration.

Install the simplified cutter unit so that there
is no gap between the left and right stoppers
on the simplified cutter unit and the label
guide.

Be careful not to
touch the blade of the
simplified cutter unit.

Be careful not to
compress the cable
of the simplified
cutter unit.
