5.1 Installing and Removing the Optional Interface

This section explains installation and setup of the optional interface.
There are two types of interface; namely LAN and RS-232C.

5.1.1

Installing and removing the LAN board

This section explains installation and removal of the LAN board.

Press the power switch to turn
off the printer.

The POWER light goes off and the power
shuts off.

Unplug the printer from the
power outlet.

Turn the printer on its side and
remove the interface cover by
removing two screws.

Now remove the two screws
which hold the bottom cover in
place; remove the cover.

Be sure to unplug the
printer from the
power outlet. Not
doing so may result
in personal injury or
an equipment
malfunction.
