6.6. Replacing the backup battery 

Measurement conditions for the PE-1 are stored in a microcomputer in the equipment with a 

lithium button cell battery being used as the backup storage media battery. The lifespan of 

that battery is about 5 years. To replace it, turn off power to the equipment, and remove the 

cover panel on the PE-1 main body. The battery is installed on the board indicated by the 

arrow. 

Ensure it is only replaced with a SANYO CR2032 battery.
