Service Manual – SC6000

34 - Scrub System, Cylindrical

Brush Drive Belt

The brush drive belt is a stretchable belt, so there is

no tension adjustment The belt can be installed and

removed under tension

1 Open the side door and the side squeegee

2 Remove the 9 screws

(B)

that secure the belt cover

to the drive housing, and remove the cover

(A)

and

gasket

3 Walk the belt off the pulley An effective method

to easily remove the belt is to place a rag around

the belt, and then pull the rag toward the pulley,

and the belt will roll right off

4 To replace the belt, position it around the

smaller pulley, and then begin feeding it around

the larger pulley Using a 3/8" socket extension,

rotate the pulley to finish walking the belt onto

the pulley

• If you have difficulty keeping the belt on

the pulley while you rotate the pulley, the

smaller round hole in the pulley is designed

to permit you to place a cable tie through the

pulley and around the belt to hold it in place
